Dr. Cody Carter grew up in nearby Whitehouse, TX. He received a bachelor of science degree from East Texas Baptist University. While at ETBU, Dr. Carter was a team captain and member of two national championship soccer teams. He received all-conference and all-American honors, and he was nominated for the Kyle Rote, Jr. National Player of the Year Award during his senior season. After an on field injury landed Dr. Carter in our office for treatment, he decided to pursue chiropractic as a career in lieu of medical school.
After college, Dr. Carter obtained his Doctorate from Parker College of Chiropractic. He has been practicing for 13 years in the Tyler and Longview areas, and has completed numerous post-doctoral education hours in the fields of nutrition and injuries. Dr. Carter has a passion for nutritional therapies and sports injuries, in addition to balancing the spine and correcting postural problems with chiropractic care. He is board certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Dr. Carter is married to Elise Carter who is co-owner of BeFree Yoga in Tyler and is a certified Yoga instructor. The couple have a little girl, Dylan, and a little boy, Myles. They have resided in Tyler for the past 13 years.
